BLACK, Robert & family
« on: Thursday 05 February 04 11:11 GMT (UK) »
Robert Black lived (we are told) in Lord St, Carlisle. He married around 1835 and had kids including Dorothy. Dorothy by our records was born 1842/45 but IGI gives her as born in the 1830's on the same date as her sister which we think is incorrect.
Looking for the 1850 census entry at this stage

A correction to my posting.
Robert Black, born 1835/45 lived at no 5 Lord St, Carlisle in January, 1879 with a wife and at least two children. He mentions his father as still alive (may have lived elsewhere) and a sister still alive. No names, though.
Would like to find Robert in the 1880 census and possibly as a child in earlier censuses.

Thanks - looks a likely one. Any chance of an 1870/1860 census entry?
Peter

Dear Peter,

I am pleased that this may be you Black family.

For a Census lookup for 1861/1871 it is best to post your request under the Census look-up section. I can not help you on this.

I am sure one of the Cumbrian Researchers may be able to help you further.
