1841 Census - West Witton - JACKSON
« on: Wednesday 26 April 06 10:15 BST (UK) »
Could SKS possibly find my JACKSON family in West Witton in 1841:

William aged 77
Elizabeth aged 74

Any information would be great as this is the only census this couple could appear on.

If it's not too much trouble I would also be grateful for 1841 details of their daughter and her family, also West Witton, as follows:

Richard SPENCE age 32
Catherine SPENCE (nee JACKSON) age 35
Elizabeth 8
John 6
William 4
Richard 2

Any help much appreciated  :)

Hello

I have an Elizabeth Jackson born sometime around 1757, married Leonard Tessemond in West Witton.  Any match with your family?

Hi Bec,

Thanks for your message.

I don't have your Elizabeth in my tree at the moment but I wouldn't be surprised if there is a connection.

I can't see a likely baptism on IGI for Elizabeth in West Witton but there is a baptism in Spennithorne on 31 May 1757 father Henry JACKSON.  Spennithorne is only about 5 miles away from West Witton.

The earliest JACKSON I have so far is William that married Ann COTTON in West Witton on 12 Nov 1751 - this William may be a brother to Henry above.

I will certainly keep this possibility in mind when researching this branch of the family.

All the best

Pinetree

I have a Catherine Jackson who married Thomas Fairbank in 1779 in West Witton.
She had at least 7 daughters and I think she may have been born approx 1760 . Have no idea who her parents were ... any help greatly appreciated :)
