I gather from familysearch that on December 27, 1823, Mary Ann Tyhurst married Kendel or Kendil Buesden.

Can sks please check the details for me please and if possible the parents details as well.

Here's the entry from the Faversham church records:
BUESDEN   Rendel and TYHURST Mary Ann Married on 27 Dec   1823. Witnesses were William Beacon and Elizabeth Alexander.      Source:  Faversham   BT, PR (Bishop's Transcript and Parish Register

Unfortunately, this is before the mandatory inclusion of the name of the parties' fathers as of 1 July 1837, so the best you could hope for from the banns book (which I do not have) is to discover the marital status of bride and groom and possibly if they were "of" a place other than Faversham.

You might need to follow up with 1851 and 1861 census returns to determine accurate place of birth.  It doesn't appear that either the bride or groom were baptised in the Faversham area - at least not in a Church of England church.

Perhaps, though, this little bit of information will help get you started.

I'd almost given up on this line.  I have found a Mary Buesden in the 1841 census in Faversham, her age is around 35years and her occupation is Ind (independant). No sign of Kendell.  Do you have access to the deaths register  for 1823 - 1841? Any idea what Kendell's occupation was, if that was mentioned in BT.

Hi Sarahjane,

I'm sorry, but I have no further information on Kendal.  He was not buried in C of E Faversham parish church - maybe in Preston or Ospringe, but I don't have those records readily available.  So, I have no idea what his occupation was.

I do, though have Mary in 1851 as follows:

D3C P18         
BUESDEN   Mary   head   widow   age 50   born at Milsted, Kent
WATERMAN   James   lodger   unm   47   Sutton   
LAYWELL   Richard   lodger   unm   37   Queenborough

Sorry I can't be of more help, but maybe, at least, Mary's birthplace from the census can get you started on her line and help to determine, at least, the latest time that Kendal could have died.
