You are so right!  Although looking at the transcription mistakes in the censuses, we will have to leave our computers to check the original fiches to find out what the real names are!!!!  ::)  ::)

Apparantly Parish Registers are next on their list, - although the indexing of the early registers should make for interesting reading, as the majority of their transcribers are Chinese:-)

I was wondering what they would do next!

Will probably have to wait ages for the ones I'm interested in to appear ::)

Once they arrive, there'll be no getting me off my computer ;D

Brilliant idea though!

I'd stand a better chance of interpreting Chinese script than some of the handwriting I've seen in Parish Registers!

I read some recently from the 1500s and the terms in brackets were priceless:

Burials:

Robert Pilbeame (Old Robert)

Thomas Pilbeam (a poor man)

I am sure they didn't really mean what I took them to mean!!!

Parish Register - If it's in Chinese I stand a better chance than Latin,
son did a year in China teaching and has a Chinese partner
who speaks 5 different dialects including Mandarin Cantonese and Taiwanese.

With any luck though they'd have copies of the original pages scanned, like they have with the census.  That would be so wonderful. :D
