Welcome to RootsChat

From his AIF papers, David Thornton COLLINS, born Allora, Qld,  enlisted 31 July 1916, was a Coal Miner, and had been a Blacksmiths apprentice.  He had also been a Queensland Policeman for 6 years.  He was a married man, and his wife was his next of kin.   She was Lucy Ann COLLINS, c/- D T Collins, Tank St, Lithgow. NSW.    From those papers it is clear that David Thornton COLLINS did move to Lithgow.  There's quite a number of pages in his AIF papers, including a sick child brought to Sydney Hospital from Lithgow, during WWI, and there's some legal correspondence from the late 1940s.
