Thanks Nell that really helps. I felt she was the right person, basically because I have trawled the census and she just wasnt there as Martha!!

Hi Nicky

I have a bit of information on the Pierre Herivel and Elizabeth Queripel line.  Elizabeth died in 1836 but I have no death date for Pierre.  One thing that is puzzling with this family is that I have 3 other children listed:

Eliza b  abt 1815 who married James Woolcock Whicker in 1835 and emigrated to South Australia in 1854
James b abt 1816 and died in 1835
Charlotte b abt 1818 and married John Berry and then there's around an 18 year gap until Marthe!  I have always wondered whether Marthe was the child of Eliza or Charlotte rather than Elizabeth and Pierre.
