1841-1851-1861-71 Bucks Census
« on: Thursday 14 October 04 12:16 BST (UK) »
Hi,

I'm looking for Charles Hedges, b. Aston Abbotts 1836

In 1861 he will be married to Sarah and possibly have child Thomas (b.1861).

I'd be grateful for any information as there are two Charles Hedges about, and I'm trying to place the correct one by use of family members.

Connections with Aston Abbotts, Wingrave and Rowsham

Tarajobrien,

Thanks.  I need to print this off and work it all out.

On another point I notice one of your area interests is Standon.  Would this be Standon in Herts?

Regards

KA

Hi KA

That's great that you can get back to 1650's  ;D

Buckinghamshire is not offically available online yet so there is no access to the actual images yet but when they are available i will let you know what the occupations and addresses are.

There is a guy called Rick on this website that has 1841 Herts census, if you post in the Herts look up he is pretty good a replying.

Yep is Standon in Herts, i have the Miles family there - Elijah Miles (his real name was Elijah Smith - his mothers maiden name, Miles is his stepfather's name and it was changed to that sometime between 1871 and 1876) he was born in Anstey Herts was a horse dealer and farmer (like his stepfather) - married Caroline Ann Gault of Standon in 1876 and had 10 kids all born in and around Standon/Little Hadham. What is your connection??

Hi Tara,

Thanks for that.

I've got two ancestors I'm looking for b. Standon.
Joseph Dowton b.1835 and William b.1840.  From what I can make out their father could be called Ezaias.  Not a name I am  familiar with!  I didn't think Herts census was available.  However, with your information on 1841 availablity, probably worth a posting!

Thanks for all your help.

K
