thanks annie ,you got no chance of me talking to any rose bush  ;D ;D ;D people think i am mad as it is  ;) off to salford history centre on friday .i will dig the old man up there i hope  :D

I thought that too !! ..... you'd be amazed at how many people talk to rose bushes .......... !!  ;)

Another thing I was thinking ( ::) ) ...... we lived in Liverpool but my rose bushes are in Widnes !! -

possibly your Dad could be out of the Manchester area !

don't think he is,he lived there in salfod for over 25 years .now why would you want to up root a man and move him to some where nobody knew him  :)

Just a thought, do you know where his parents were buried?

There may be a chance that he could have been buried with them. My grandmother's and grandfather's ashes are buried in my grandfather's sisters grave.

We went to Widnes - 'cos that was the only place that had room ...... at that particular time  ::) ::)

I'd still check it out .... you never know!

A friend of my mum's has just lost both of her parents. They were both Irish and left there over 50 years ago. But in September, she is taking their ashes back over to Ireland to be buried.
