Hiya Folks,

Saturday 29th July is drawing near. I was in with the Ulster Historical Foundation yesterday, bought some books and joined the Guild. The Saturday morning trip there is a non starter. They now work a five day week.

Belfast Cathedral, the Cathedral Church of St Anne in Donegal Street is open on Saturday 10.00am to 4.00pm. http://www.belfastcathedral.org/a_to_z/article/id/140 so how about meeting there and then going on to the Linenhall Library where we should be able to get a coffee and have a look round? Then lunch and the City Hall tour. After that the Ulster Museum.

Joebhoy and I had a chat on the phone the other day. He suggested I should check on the number of people bringing a car and whether they would be parking somewhere near the city centre. Here is a site with maps http://www.yell.com/super/car+parks/belfast?sem=g .. look for National Car Parks

If anyone would like my phone number please send a PM
If anyone else would like to come it is not too late to have your name added to the list.

All the Best, Christopher

Thanks Gill.

Lets all meet at 10.00am at the Linenhall Library
Full disabled access and facilities via the Fountain Street entrance.
About 11.30am at St Anne's Cathedral
12.30pm an hour or so for lunch
2.00pm or thereabouts Belfast City Hall
and then the Ulster Museum.
If anyone is staying to Sunday maybe we could go for a few drinks and meal in the evening.

Chris

Hiya Gill,

No point staying somewhere on your own. Sarah and Trystan are coming (I think it is their first time),  Steve and Saz are coming too .. as far as I know they have been over before but I do not know where they stayed.

I have offered Joebhoy accommodation and I'm worried as I have a very untidy flat. It is not exactly what you would call a bachelor pad

There are four places on this site http://www.healthycitiesbelfast2003.com/belfastbandb.asp Three of the places are on Eglantine Avenue .. that runs from University Road (it starts opposite Queen's University) to the Lisburn Road. The other one is off Botanic Avenue.

Hi Chris

I have stayed in Belfast before and my son used to live not far out of the city.

I think I stayed at the University last visit.

If in doubt a Youth Hostel is always good!!

I wouldn't worry about the flat....a few drinks on Saturday night and Joebhoy won't notice!

I'm just looking at flights, ferries etc and will try and contact the others to see where they're staying.

Speak soon and regards
Gill
