1851 Census Lookup Request For Thomas Rossiter
« on: Wednesday 13 October 04 19:09 BST (UK) »
I'm looking for information about Thomas Rossiter and his wife Barbara Lee who lived as travellers in Kent. They had at least one child, James born 1841 in Milton Kent. In 1851 he will be about 10years old.

In the 1881 Census they are living in a tent on the Thomas Road caravan site in Sittingbourne. It's possible that they may have been there in 1851.

I'm hoping a census entry will provide dates and places of birth for Thomas, Barbara and any other children in the family.

Any help great appreciated.TIA

I can't see them.  There's a good chance that they weren't enumerated because it wasn't a requirement to list those people who weren't living in houses prior to 1861 :(
