Thank you very much, but I seem to be more confused than ever. The family tree was going really well until I found the bit about the mother dying!
I do have a Robert Graham who lived and owned a 'few' in Valleyfield near Queensferry dated 1686 which he then passed on to his son (I think Charles) who then sold it on to his brother Lawrence. Lawrence then sold it to his son William.
In theory the dates given for the tombstone for Robert could fit, but I will have to get hold of a map as I know he married twice - one in Culcross and the second time in Carnbee and I have no idea where they are in relation to Ceres.
This family tree business is really not for sissies
