Thanks again. A pity the Dairsie marriage and birth records are so patchy, but I'll persevere. I'm particularly looking for a family there in the 1770s-80s - have four births but nothing further, and of course it isn't possible to tell how they were related to the various people mentioned in the deaths. And they were probably moving between Dairsie and Kemback, maybe other places!

Hi

I wonder if you could check Forgan , for a William Wilson, died 1839, his wife was Agnes Kay/Keay, I am not sure if he was buried here or Kilmany, or if there even was a headstone.

Thank you
Wilson, Keddie. Forgan,Kilmany, Leuchars Fife

JoT my dear,
hope your book on cemetries is not too tattered to hopefully look some up for me.   How very kind of you.
Names  are Mount, Shepherd, Ramsay.   Christian names William, James
Peter, Ann` actually any others could well be a relative.
I excitedly await your reply and thank you.    Dordee

Hi Dordee,
it would help either JOT or myself if you have a place for us as the books are arranged by place and then indexed by surname. it saves searching manually through the whole book!!

many thanks

Hello Diddy
Wow your STARS are impressive!
Sorry not to mention place but really did not know.  My search is for the parents of my two forebears who married in Cupar. I have all the records after their marriage.  ThomasMount married Mary Shepherd(which could be Sheephird sheppard etc.) I do know marys father was Peter.  There was Peter Shprd who wed a Ann Ramsay near Dairsie . Any help would beappreciated.    Dordee

Hi Dordee, yes I'm quite proud of them but still a mere mortal (well most of the time!!  ;D )

Have had a quick look in the NE parishes book in Cupar & Dairsie but only one shepherd -a  margaret married to Alex Blyth. she died in aug 1852 age 77 Cupar.

will check in the fife death index CD which is easier to search (pre 1855 also)
