there are 32 shepherd deaths in cupar in all. non eof the others mention peter or ann.

Hi Dordee, no this info is from the Fife pre 1855 death index CD. available online in its new version from the Fife FHS site to anyone.

no mention of peter & Ann as parents to any of the other shepherds. i could send you the whole list by word doc if you are interested. you would need to send me your email adddress by PM - don't put it on here!

Hi, there is a stone in Logie in the fife NE MI's:

stone 41:  John Thomson, s...

unfortunately that is all - obviously illegible. am now checking the death index in case further info. there are 5 other Thomsons in the MI's can list if would help.

death index for fife has 27 Thomsons in Logie. the only John died 1795 so not yours.

Thanks for looking.

Perhaps I should have mentioned that the father is shown as John Thomson, Wright, parish of Logie on the 1818 marriage entry but this doesnt necessarily mean that he was alive at the date of the marriage?  His daughter, Christian was born 1791 ish Logie.
