Help with Pinkertons of Lancashire

I have a Francis Pinkerton who I think was married to an Ann Tait can anyone help me verify this or get a date of the marriage. I know they had a son James who was born around 1816-1820 and James later married a Margaret Rigby in Prescot Lancashire so I am going on the assumption that his parents came from Lancashire. Any help or advice would be most welcome as I don't know what records are available in England to look up.

I had a look on the I.G.I for a birth on the given date's.I didn't find anything. so i took the years off and came up with four. Maybe you can find something, this is my shortcut to the search page
