MSN Messanger Help Needed
« on: Monday 10 April 06 20:20 BST (UK) »
Hiya,

I hope someone can solve a problem please. A friend and I regularly chatted on MSN Messenger then moved to Yahoo Messenger. Her name is on my list of MSN contacts and although she is on MSN Messenger a lot she always appears as offline on my Messenger whenever both of us are online. Neither of us is on the other's blocked list any suggestions leading us toward a way of solving this dilemma will be much appreciated.

Many thanks, Chris

Hi,

You have probably allready checked this simple theory but I know of people who have missed it sometimes.

When you or your friend sign into MSN make sure that your status is ONLINE and not APPEAR OFFLINE. Simple I know, but you could have missed it.

Hope it is that.

Kind regards.
Jon

Hiya Jon

Happy Easter.

Nice of you to put in an appearance :D Welcome to Rootschat :D You have not been here long but you will soon notice a pack of Irish nutters wandering around most of the boards. Sometimes we roam in a pack and other times we roam alone :D

We are not dumb over here across the sheugh (that is the Irish Sea and North Sea)
The MSN Messenger problem has already been solved. Actually there were two problems but I did not know about the second one till this morning. Problem one solved by deleting the person's name and re-entering it. Problem two solved by deleting incorrect name and entering correct name.

All the Best and thanks for your good advice,

Chris

Hiya again Jon,

No problems there. I realised you were being helpful and knew we in Ireland are not dumb. Most Messenger sites can be a pain at times. I was strongly advised not to use them by one or two people but as I spend a lot of time on Genealogy boards I find them exceptionally useful. I am able to discuss the problems people are having in their search for their ancestors. emailing is far to slow although it is very useful.

All the Best, Chris
