Hi Chris

May I trespass on your kindness once more and ask for a look up in the 1851 census for Sussex for James LANSDELL b.c.1822 and Mark James LANSDELL b.c.1830.

Also, if possible, could you check for Mark James LANSDELL in Hastings in 1841?  He's not with his father and brother in Battle, so maybe was staying with grandparents.

Thanks again for all your help.

Hi Ruth

Found some more property that James Lansdell leased from Thomas Breeds on the 'America Ground'

1. Small Dwelling House, with two rooms below and three above occupied by W Collins at 4s per week
2. Open Shed with Carpenters Shop over, Large Yard with Sawpit
3. A Counting House, two stables for two Horses each and Open Shed
4. A Counting House

Did the Breed manuscript make interesting reading.

You helped me some time ago with LEVETTs buried in St John Sub Castro.  I have found that my LEVETT branch  (~1820- 1860s) was living at 8 Lancaster Street and the house still stands.

I was wondering if you could please send me the baptsims of the church for LEVETT.

Thanks for that Chris.  Yes the Breeds story was very interesting - amazing how much can be pieced together about a family.  Thanks for sending it to me.
