What occupation is a Higgler

here are two possibilities.

A Coal Higgler- sold coal, usually from a horse and cart.

Higgler - itinerant dealer/ peddler - one who haggles for bargains.

 Having a love/hate relationship with my computer at the moment, so sticking to what I do know.  Turn On/Turn Off and print.

I had a higgler in my family.  He was also described as a Huckster.  ie.  A hawker or haggler.  In Sussex and Hampshire, a higgler was also a go-between man who matched buyers and sellers.  Haggling seems to be the key word thoug.

Thanks so much for your reply.
Will definitely check it out.  I'm so easily distracted what one more!!!

I have been off the new for a couple of months changing internet provider, computer playing up, my brain feels mush, not to mention not putting the query in the proper place.  Have been madly trying to get info together for a visit from a  "rellie" to swap info, on Easter Monday, and desperately waiting for "Cousin" Geoff's reply.  Maybe I'm a little distracted.  Sounds like a good cop out, do you think?
