Charles Robert Draper
« on: Friday 07 April 06 17:54 BST (UK) »
This might be a big shot in the dark but here goes, Does anyone out there know anything about Charles Robert Draper the founder of Kingston Press.
I was looking into my family history and found that my Grandfather who was also called Charles Robert Draper (b 1896) was born in Hackney.
He married a woman called Ivy Taylor and they had a son Charles R Draperin 1914. The thing is they lived in Kingston
It is a possibility that the founder of Kingston Press is the Charles R Draper that i am looking for. The company was founded in 1958. Which would have put the founder of Kingston Press at about 44 at the time. I have attached a picture from thier website. Does any one know more about him.

Hi Cornishman

Bit of a tough one.

I was wondering if any of the certificates that you have provide any clues?

The other thing may be to get in touch with the Kingston archives.  Here is a link to the website which lists holdings and has an email contact http://www.kingston.gov.uk/browse/leisure.htm

I noticed also that there is a phone number for the Kingston Press, it might be worth calling to see if they have any further information?

Good luck with that
