Any info on this family in Aberdeen
Keeper of a Lunatic Asylum till 1825 (he died that year)
James Sherrifs  wife  Susan Charles
Children.

    Margaret    12 July 1794
    George       20 Nov 1797
    Christian     29 May 1799
    Susan         29 Feb  1808
    William        26 June 1811 
any help out there amongst the Sherrifs/ Shirrefs ect.

I have a James Shirrefs (b.1757), one of many brothers of James (Doctor of Divinity b.1751), Alexander (Advocate b.1760 d.1823) and Andrew (poet b.1762). I have no idea what his job was though. They seem to have been pretty creative with the spelling so it could be.
