I am trying to find out more details of Charles Robert Draper. I think he served in the London Regiment in ww1 his regimental number was 3793571504

Thanks for the reply, I got that card yesterday, but there is not a lot of info on it. I was wondering if anyone could give guidance on how to carry on the search.

Now you have BOTH his numbers you can send for his service records !!

On his medal card your Charles has two numbers - when you posted - you ran them all into one !!

Because you have the numbers and regiment - you can send to the address shown and request his service record !

Hopefully the pdf of the card should be attached to this posting. Is the address you refered to the one at the bottom of the pdf "eagle house". And do you have any idea how much the record would cost.

richard,his number was 3793,then later in the war he was renumbered,and became 571504,they did this with all the territorial battalions,all the london regts were territorials,your relatives original number looks like a 1915 recruits,mack
military history,mainly ww1,manchester pals battalions,tyneside irish +tyneside scottish brigades,leeds,liverpool,accrington,birmingham,hull,barnsley,swansea and salford pals.
