Hi thanks for your reply. My Nellie Clarke was my nan, born  22/11/1890 in Haddenham. Her father was Henry Stephen Clarke. .  I have also just been given a picture of a Mr E C Clarke, of Manor Farm Haddenham, I have just found out his name was Edward Chapman Clarke but I have not yet managed to make a link as this branch of my tree is next on my list to research. If you can help I would be very grateful.  I look forward to receiving your reply.

I am interested in the correspondence about the Clarke family of Haddenham.  I have traced my husband's family back to there via Tring.  I believe they were farmers.  The earliest one in our tree is William, married to Rebekah Piggott in 1767 in Haddenham parish church.  They had 4 sons that I know of, John 1768, James 1770, Charles 1774 and Joseph 1780.  Joseph, our ancestor, married Esther Allen and had moved to Park Hill Farm in Tring by 1823.  Does anyone recognise these names?  I am especially interested in finding out more about William...
