Death certs in British Columbia
« on: Tuesday 28 March 06 21:04 BST (UK) »
Thanks to LOTS of help from Rootschatters I've just received the death certificate of my great-uncle, Harry Darling, who was born in Hull in 1881 and died in Victoria, BC in 1962.

Other newbies to Canadian genealogy, like myself, may be interested to know that as well as giving the date of death, cause and place, the certificate also gives the name of Harry's mother (maiden name!), father and wife, AND the name of the cemetery or crematorium involved.

So with one certificate all my questions were answered. I also paid for it online and it was delivered to my email address within 2 days. Absolutely amazing  . . . and just thought other people might like to know.
