If we get 8, then 16 would only be 20 to 30 years backwards?
But, that 20 or 30 years is tough to find with a high level of accuracy

Hi Zelley

Always buy certificates to prove lineage is correct.
Spent a bomb on them in the early days only to find later that most Record Offices or
Libraries had them for 25p upwards a copy instead of £6.50.  ;D.

I live and learn.

Sometimes, a certificate will have incorrect information, but that's another story.

Sandy

From birth to death, his name and his parents names were recorded incorrectly
in birth records, death records and even in the Daily newspaper following his death.

He was born in Ontario, Canada and died in British Columbia.  His name was listed as John Zelly, Bertie Zelly etc. However, about a year or so when he was gone, there was a Memorial Card with his correct name.   It's
such as shame that two Provinces in Canada couldn't get it right!

I guess the excuse would be that the parents did it wrong
despite the rest of the children before and after having the correct name.

Anyway, the death was caused by a hugh Oak Tree that crashed onto the house in 1897.   Funny now, but not so funny about 1956, was I almost drowned in the ocean nearby where the house once stood, but that's another
story.
