Yes from left to right

Clara Maria Clark b1858 Oundle, Northants, daughter of a watchmaker and married a watchmaker's son, Frederick Douglas of Egham Surrey. He started a bakery in Egham High St.
grandfather Frederick Doglas jun.

Lucy Ann Holmes 1860 -  1906 Born in Birmingham. She was the 10th of 11 surviving children. 6 of her siblings ended up abroad in New York, Winnipeg, and Armidale, NSW, Australia.

Ann Lee b 1848 in Upperthong, hear Holmfirth in W Yorkshire. She was the daughter of a cordwainer(shoemaker). Her mother died in 1850. The Holmfirth flood was in 1853, this must have had a terrific impact, address at birth was Uppermill, so they were close to the river.

Eliza Leah.  1858-1895. She was born in Werneth, Cheshire, to a Cotton Dresser. She married Richard Bond Cocks a clerk of Works from Denton, in 1874. They had five children, but Eliza died in 1895. Richard remarried three times, and died in 1925.

Clearly we know more about some than others but without all, I would not be here

Bob

Bob, excellent closing comment, thank!

Hi all!!

My Four were:

Winifred Catherine Kathleen BURKE b. 24/07/1905 in Balham, London. Her family were successful Brickmakers in Birmingham and were originally from Ireland. Her Mother was a Romany Gypsy. Winifred was married to Cecil Leonard "Charles" Hill.

Hildagard Maria MANTHEI b. 1910 in Heinrichswerder, Posen, Poland. She was a hard working Farmers wife, married to Emil Foelke. She was still with us when I was born in '89 but I never met her because she was living in Germany.

Margaret Mabel MUNSON b. 1897 in Newbridge, County Kildare. Her Father was a half-English half-Irish Soldier in the 10th Hussars. Her Mother was an Irish woman. The family travelled around the globe with the British Army but eventually settled in Exeter. Some of her siblings were born in India. Mabel as she was known, was first married to William John Hubert Williams prior to marrying my Great Grandfather Harold Hopkins.

Selina MUSCUTT b. 1890 in Tunstall, Staffordshire. She was married to Leonard Fereday, and they had 9 children.

On my maternal Grandmother's death certificate, her Mother's name is given as "Unknown".  I know that's too often the result when we look at records and it took a while, but I found her and learned some of her story.

MARY MOXHAM - b. 1858 Wiltshire, England, d. 1894 Ulster.
Her first husband died when their daughter was an infant.
Her second husband, my Gt. Grandfather, was a military man.  Their first daughter was born at the camp in Aldershot, and their second daughter at the camp in Cavan.

LYDIA OLDS - b. 1839 Ontario, Canada, d. 1916 Saskatchewan, Canada.  At age 60 she moved with my Gt. Grandfather and their five children to western Canada where they were homesteaders.

ISABELLA KIDD (KYD) - b. 1832 Dunichen, Angus, Scotland, d. 1858 Nevay, Scotland, mother of three children

BARBARA RAMSAY - b. 1835 Guthrie, Scotland, d. 1882 Guthrie, mother of thirteen children

I honour the memories of these women.

Hi Marie,

Yes,  for me that was the great find this year and I thank Rootschat members for their help on this one.

I can't imagine what her life was like, but I do know that her death at the age of 36 greatly affected the lives of her daughters.

Very touching!
A river of tears will never wash away the pain and sorrow for the family
with the passing of a young mother.  But, we thank you for sharing a small slice
of life of the "lost mother".  May she be a shining light for her daughters'
childrens' children and beyond.

Mary Judson 1866-1949 married George Linsey

Gt Gt grandmas
Betsy Warriner m Moses Judson
Thanks for your contribution on this thread.

Of interest, in 1881, a Mary Judson from Newark (Upon-Trent)
can be found in Lincolnshire residing at the Becketts Arms Inn.
I guess there would be many interesting stories to tell about the
life & times of the folks at the Inn
