Can't remember whether I've listed these before, and can't find anything, so here goes; -

1.  Amelia ("Minnie") May Powell, nee Thearle, b. Canterbury NSW 1884, daughter of Alfred Thearle & Amelia nee Bullman - *This one was still alive when I was little

2.  Amelia Tatham, nee Muir, b. ? Victoria 1869, daughter of Neil Muir & Margaret nee Lawson

3.  Agnes Mitchell, nee Morgan, b. Kirk Wynd, Anstruther Easter, Fife Scotland 1877, daughter of James Morgan & Mary nee Henderson

4.  Elizabeth ("Lizzie") Lumsden Kinnear Haerse, nee Baird, b. Scoonie Fife 1876, daughter of Alexander Baird & Janet ("Jessie") nee Beveridge - *Also still alive when I was young

Thankfully, apart from not being sure exactly where Amelia Muir Tatham was born ... no brick walls amongst this lot  :)
I live in Sydney, Australia, and I'm researching: Powell, Tatham, Dunbar, Dixon, Mackwood, Kinnear, Mitchell, Morgan, Delves, & Anderson

Hi Woody,
If Mary is being a brick wall, ask Tephra to put you down for a Scavenger Hunt.... They are great fun if nothing else... 8)

Don't wish to appear dense... 8) 8) ;D

But what exactly is a 'scavenger hunt?'

Romilly.

It's when everyone gets together to sort out someone's brick wall, Romilly. They are fast moving and great fun. You find out things about your ancestors that you never even dreamed of because everyone has their own way of doing things and bringing them together makes for interesting reading if nothing else.
Tephra organises them.

If someone should decide to request a 'Scavenger hunt' should they PM Tephra?

My maternal g.grandmothers were Alice Catherine Brand and Alice Pemberton.  My paternal g.grandmothers were Maria Collett and Selina Stanton Mumby.

G.Grandmother Alice Pemberton – was born in 1843 in Kingsley, Cheshire, the 6th of 11 children.  Her father was a butcher and farmer.  At 18 she was still living at home with 7 other siblings, despite the fact that her father had died the previous year.  She married aged 28 a couple of years after her mother’s death, her husband being a butcher like her father.  She had 6 children, 3 girls followed by 3 boys.  Her husband died aged 45 and she carried on the butchery business until she died aged 65.

Hi, Chatters,
Great idea.  My great grandmothers were -

PATERNAL:  Anna Lush Roberts, born Dorset. 1821-1902
                   Maria King, born Oxford.  1835-1874.

MATERNAL:  Jane Elizabeth Woolfe, born Kent.  1860-?
                    Nell Jones ??????????????

Haven't found any details for Nell, but my grandmother was born in Aberystwith.  Her father was John Griffith Jones.

Cheers,
