Stewart/Hunter in Sanquhar

Charles STEWART and Janet HUNTER had a son James in Sanquhar 1795 (he is not to be confused with the mine manager with same name and date of birth). Does anyone have any info on these people and also there was a Charles Stewart born at Wanlockhead on 20/2/1766 to James Stewart and Jean Mathieson, anyone know about him ?
STEWARTs from Leadhills, Sanquhar, Wanlockhead 1700 - 1980
STEWARTs from Drem, East Lothian 1820 +
STEWARTs from Edinburgh, Banefield and Murdoch Terrace general Fountainbridge area.
DUNCANs from Fife and Morayshire (Hopeman area).
HENDRYs from Alloa.
NAIRNs who were highland crofters.

I'm unable to help with your main query but am intrigued in your list of main interests.

I am researching Stewarts.
James Stewart married Margaret McNaughton 3/1/1845 in Edinburgh. They had 3 children - James (15/3/1846), Jane (19/6/1847) and John (20/5/1849).

Do any of these names ring any bells?

  The names you have do not ring any bells, if you had the parents of the elder James Stewart, occupations and district they lived in Edinburgh then I would know for sure, the only line of mine they could be is from Peter Stewart
