i have just found out that most of the information i gave Peter is wrong and we think that Alice Howe was from Mt Gambier because we have found the birth records and a family member has found her certificate.

The marriage for Alice Howe and Thomas Johnson in 1896 lists her father as John Howe and his father as William Johnson.

Hi Chris,

Yes he appears to be travelling alone. (Sorry meant to say) No other Jansen's or like on board. Only one other person on board was from Varel and they do not appear to be travelling together. Heinrick SIELING a Backer (Baker)
