Hello!

If you have a chance, would you mind looking for a James Sandford in the census?

Thank you!

Hi,

My ancestors was a chemist and lived in Bethnal Green in 1863. Is he there in 1851? Love to know. He would have been c17 years. His name is Henry Griffith WATERS.

Huge thanks. Can return the favour with the 1891 census but I have not index.

Cheers,
Sharon

Hello Kate
You didn't give me any approximate ages but there was no Emma in the same household as James Chapman.  There was an Emma aged 10 where the head of house seems to be Ann aged 43.

There was no Philip Goddard.  There was a James aged 5 living with John aged 29. In Bethnal Green Church district.
HP 107/1541 folio 528
The family is
John Goddard aged 29 born Wil?
Caroline aged 27 born Bethnal Green
James aged 5 born Behtnal Green
John C aged 3 born Bethnal Green

Hope this helps

Would this census cover Whitechapel & whitefriars?

If so please could I take you up on your kind offer for a search on Thomas Henry COONE his wifes name is Adelaide nee Barham. In 1862 they lived at 1 Asher ( e) Terrace court, Whitefriars. Thats all the info I have I'm afraid ( taken from birth cert. of their son ).
Thank you very much for your time and trouble.

Much Happiness
from an ex east ender : )
For every ancestor I find , I have to find two more.

Hello Daisy Dee

Bethnal Green does not cover Whitechapel or Whitefriars but I looked at the index anyway.  I'm afraid there was no-one with the name Coone.

I have a surname only index for St George in the East and I did find one Coone in the St Mary District.  If you are able to view a film of the census the reference is HO 107/1547 folio 147

St George in the East is next to Whitechapel and families did move around a lot.
