Hello Dean,I am almost sure William Stewart & Rebecca Lynch are my gr.gr grandparents.I have my grandmother's birth cert.on it it says Rebecca Stewart present at her birth.looking for John steward's birth cert. The only one that I could find that matched his age at death was 25-11-1864 the parents  were William Stewart & Rebecca Lynch. John Stewart was my gr.grandfather

Hello Mary,this is the information I have so far,William and Rebecca were my great great grandparents as well,they were married on 22/11/1849 at ballyarnett church,Williams dad is listed as James Stewart,Rebecca dad is John lynch,their witnesses were Patrick toner and John crompston,I can only find 4 children for them at the moment,Thomas(born 1850),William jr(my great grandad -born 3/11/1851),Alexander(born 2/3/1858) and Rebecca jr(born 4/2/1860),I cannot find your great grandad John at the moment but they had such large families that it takes time to find everyone,please let me know how you get on,it is very nice to find a new potential family member,kind regards,Dean wells

William's father was John Stewart. Rebecca's father was William Lynch. Both were labourers.
The second witness's surname seems more like Crampton.

I found William's & Rebecca marriage too,John Crompton is the name of one of the witnesses births I found to William & Rebecca  Thomas 1850,William 1851,John 25-11-1864
I live about five minutes from the church William & Rebecca were married in.

Hello Mary,thank you for your information,it was your church reverend alastair rosborough who sent me William/Rebecca marriage details from their church records,he told me their parents where James and john,apologies if this is incorrect,but I was acting on the information he gave me,he also gave me the information on their children Thomas,William,Alexander and Rebecca,these children were all baptised in ballyarnett with parents listed as William and Rebecca.Rebecca junior went onto marry John Nelson in your church on 13/1/1888,father listed as William and a witnesses Thomas and Matilda Stewart,kind regards Dean

hello Dean,Im sure we are related,although I live only five minutes from Ballyarnett church Im not a member of this church.
John Stewart was presbyterian was then baptised into the catholic church to marry my gr.gr. grandmother Mary Doherty who was catholic.I  found his baptism  as an adult into the catholic church in st Patricks catholic church,parish of Iskaheen  muff co.donegal. on the baptism.john stewart 25/11/1883 who abjured the errors of heresy,(have no idea what that means)
John Stewart birth born 25/11/1864 address Ballynaguard parents William Stewart & Rebecca lynch.
I live in Derry,so not to far from ballynaguard.

Hello Mary,yes I am in agreement,I am sure we are related as well,my great great grandad William,son of William and Rebecca,firstly married Eliza kelly,who sadly died quite soon into their marriage.he went onto marry Jane Anne Steele in ballyarnett in 1892,William had I think 6 children,Christy,Eliza,john,Mary,Sarah and Alexander(who is my great grandad),he was born in ballynaguard in 1895 and married my great grandmother Margaret Gray,Alexander and Christy went onto emigrate to Canada and both I think lived there for the rest of their lives,Christy certainly married and had 5 children in Quebec,kind regards Dean

I see William married Eliza Kelly 1877 they had seven children six survived.
