No go with that birth-they're on the 1881 census for Bruce County
Donald MCINTIRE  47   born Scotland   Farmer
Ann Jane MCINTIRE  33  born Scotland
 Isibella MCINTIRE      9  born Scotland
Donald Geo. MCINTIRE  7  born Ireland
Hugh M. MCINTIRE  5  born Ireland

That means Donald was born in 1833

and by the way, we share NORTH America with the U.S., ( & 21 other countries...and then there's also South.America) so I have no idea why "America" might only apply to them? Perhaps not being able to add "ians"  or "ites" prompted them to adopt the whole continent ;D  J.J.

Thank you so much for finding those posts-the Ancestry boards one was new to me. I've managed to contact a great great grandson of Marion Rennie and he has been able to give me details of Marion's descendants in Canada and the United States. It's been a long search but very educational.
