1861 census lookup for Monmouthshire please

Hi there,

I'm looking for the following 2 individuals:

Thomas Price born 1843 in Oldbury Staffordshire (rest of his family are in Six Bells, Llanhilleth) occupation Coal Miner.

Clara Rogers born ca1844 in Clutton, Somerset - her father's name is Samuel and he is a collier.

Thomas and Clara marry in Llanhilleth less than 2 months after the census is taken, but although I can find them in later censuses in Abertillery, I cannot find them in 1861.

I hope someone can help!

Cannot find any of them in 1861,
Have checked the 1861 Gwent Fhs census indices for the
area and they do not appear. May be among the missing thousands in Monmouthshire 1861,due to lost records.

Hi Rhys,

Many thanks for the lookup - the fact that they may appear on the many lost records for Monmouthshire in 1861 had occurred to me, but I thought that was mainly Bedwelty district.

Nevertheless they cannot be found - so I shall have to try another approach.

Hi Rhys,
Thanks for the link to the 1861 census missing pages - I knew that I'd seen this list somewhere, but couldn't remember exactly where.
Unfortunately all my areas of South Wales are affected, Bedwelty, Llanhilleth and Aberystruth, although I did at least find some of my ancestors in Llanhilleth.
