Most of them were previously Blundell Scholars (about two out of three of whom became Fellows until 1852). Some died young, or left no trail which is obvious, but the majority of them, like Domus Fellows of the College, spent the greater part of their lives as incumbents of country parishes.

The local Squire, Mr George Collins of Ham House, was largely responsible for the replacement building, which was in the shape of a Greek cross. It re-opened for services on Sunday August 26th 1821. George Collins' son, the Reverend Charles Trelawny Collins, was appointed as a Lecturer and later Curate, in which post he served for over 40 years.

After his father died, in 1826, he added the Trelawney name as a surname by royal licence dated November 26th 1838. He was first the Lectuer and later the Curate of Pennycross Church from 1821 until 1868 and giving his death date as April 19th 1878 at Ham.
Mary Trelawney was an only child. When she married George Collins of Kenilworth in Warwickshire in 1784, she took with her the inheritance of the estate at Ham, where they took up residence. Born in 1762, he was at the time of their marriage a Captain in the Royal Marines.
