Thanks Anna, I think I might have read that somewhere.
It would be fairly easy to read Silas as Silox and vice versa so that's probably the brother. I wonder what happened to him?
More to the point now I guess is finding Daniels marriage. Nothing on LDS around 1824 and too early for Westmidlands BDM. This may be my next wall!!

Happy weekend to all

Hi Elena, have just found a Zillah Partridge whose birth was registered in the West Bromwich district July to Sept 1839 volume number VIII page 534. It might confirm for you if the Daniel and Hannah Partridge marriage you found is indeed the right one.

Hope this helps

Hi Anna
Thanks for confirming Zillah's birthdate.  I found her fairly early on in the westmidlands bdm, but it doesn't give dates so altho I had deduced her to be in the second half of the year from her immigration details, it's nice to get it a bit tighter.
I really don't know how to go on from here with Daniel and Hannah. She would have been born about 1802 i guess and him the same.  On the LDS site the only Daniel marrying a HAnnah between 1820 and 1840 was this one in Birmingham in 1833 and the bride was Hannah Archer. The problem with them is that on the 1861 census the whole family were apparently born in West Bromwich.
Thanks for the interest you've taken
