At the time of his execution Thomas and his brother James were equal partners in their shoe repair shop at Merchants Arch,Wellington Quay.

Elizabeth ,Thomas's wife had a running battle with the pension board for several years from the 1930s to 1953 to get proper recognition of his status so her pension would be increased.
Elizabeth appears to have died in England 1973 at her daughters residence.

In 1963 James now totally blind widowed and living alone age 74 applied for recompense for supporting Elizabeth and her children while she was waiting on her pension he was granted a sum but not sure if he ever got it as he died Dec 1963 and is buried in Glasnevin.

on the other post you mentioned Mary Traynor your Nan married into the Garland family
the best thing to do is get the marriage cert if you have'nt already got it
possible marriage to John Garland 17th Sep 1930

this will give fathers names ,occupations and addresses at time of marriage also should say if father alive or deceased.

Hi all hope your all good I'm still looking up my family tree and all the information keeps coming up the same that thomas traynor could have been my great grandad  my family were understandable can't seem to get there heads round it as my nana never told them of this? I've done a ansestrey DNA  test from my father and awaiting the results anyone else done  one thanks sabrina
