The Griffiths Valuation Index (1847-1864) that registered the head
of household during the perion as show, has the following that
may help pinpoint your ancestors[see below].
The surname HAINEY is recorded as such without variation, and no
O'Heany is recorded.
The surname LAVELLE is most prominent in county Mayo.
You will need to find out when the parishes in question started
to record events, and as they were catholic this will unfortunately
restrict your research because most catholic parishes commenced
between 1830 - 1870, and it was the sole responsibility of the P.P.
wether or not he commenced or continued to record.
It is also wise to keep in mind that marriage and birth/baptism
were recorded in the spouse/mother parish, which may be different
to that of the husband/father.
The following christian names may also help, a naming pattern was
widely used in this period, so that the 1st male was named after
the fathers father (grandfather) etc.
