Foden family-Northampton
« on: Monday 13 March 06 10:24 GMT (UK) »
Any information on any Fodens in Northampton, from anytime, appreciated. Particularly 1841 census, but any parish records info (All Saints, St Katherines, town centre churches) would be great. Does anyone have anything at all? Foden is very unusual name in Northampton between 1700 & 1880, so any info. would probably be relevant to the family I am looking for. Thanks, Steph x :)

Thanks eveyone, that's filled in some gaps. Thankyou all for your time.
Am now trying to trace JAMES FODEN (who married Ann Penn 30/07/1819). I believe he was born c.1794 and was dead before 1851 census. Unable to find his death in Northants or birth (family legend being he was born in Cheshire, where there is big Foden family) Can anyone help with more on him? ;D

Thanks, Ruth, do you have access to the 1841?Any other Fodens in the 1841 at all. There should be a son John (born 1820). Have I been in touch with you before? It's just that Mary Ann Foden listed above married an Elliott, which I see is in your list of Northants interests. She married John Elliott (b c.1822) Piddington. Thanks again.  ;D

Hi Steph
Yes i have been in contact with you before. Do you remember the mix up i had with the Elliott marriage - i thought mine was the one that married Mary Ann Foden but turned out to be Mary Ann Moody!!

I do have access to the images, as Ancestry has the 1841. I have saved you the image for Ann , just send your email addy to me via PM.
I will look for John..........no sign. Could the William with Ann be him?
