Hello Roni and welcome to Rootschat

I had a look in the Times Digital Archive to see if I could see anyone by the name of G. Hall listed as killed or wounded in South Africa during that time period. Couldn't see anyone by the name of Hall for Mafeking but there is a Squad.Sgt Major G. Hall [2209], 10th Hussars, listed as sick on the 18th January 1900 and then on the 24th January he is listed dead as follows:
"2209 Squad. Q.-Mr. - Sgt. G. Hall, 10th Hussars died at Naanwpoort of rheumatic fever, January 21st."
hope this might help
best wishes
Margaret
