Saw this notice, so i joined group & my 1st post. My GG grandfather is also John R McCauley on mother's side with my grandmother being Martha Jane McCauley, eldest daughter of James P McCauley & Susannah J. Law. Martha Jane passed in 1942 but we did meet here younger sisters many times. (great aunts aunts Frances, Cecilia & Lilly.) We have similar information on GG JR McCauley (b 1830) married to Isabella Semple.(b 1834); and living in Ballymena town area, Antrim. His forebears William McAuley & Margaret McLaughlin .. also from Ballymena. I have a travel diary passed down of Martha Jane's 1906 visit back to Ireland & Scotland visiting relatives, friends post her mother's passing the year before in Canada. She mentions visiting her grandmother and this could have been Isabella as it appears they may have moved by then to Ballyknock, County Down. I'll review that correspondance. Contact 1-1.
