Henrietta Hunt nee GIBSON
« on: Friday 10 March 06 02:58 GMT (UK) »
My great grandmother Henrietta HUNT nee GIBSON b. abt 1854 is elusive and I would like to find her parents. In the 1861 census she is living in Burton on Stather
Lincolnshire with Henry and Elizabeth WESTOBY described as daughter aged 7. Both she and her mother Elizabeth b. ab. 1835  have Balkholme as their birth place.
In the 1871 census she has Howden as her birthplace and in 1881 Eastrington.  Can anyone find either her birth record or her mother Elizabeth.  I am guessing that Henrietta was illegitimate  and that probably Elizabeth was a Gibson, although on Henrietta's marriage certificate it gives her father as Henry Gibson.
Can anyone help please ?

Hi Chota,

There is a birth registration for a Henrietta Gibson in the qtr Jan-Mar 1854, reg dist Howden, 9d, page 78.  Howden district also covers Eastrington.

Good luck, Kath

Dear Katherine,

Thank you so much! I can send for her birth certificate now and hopefully find out who her parents were.
