Looking for the following family on the 1871 Census.

William Varney Head d.o.b c1840
Grace Varney   Wife d.o.b. c1845.

Wm.R.Varney son age 4/5.

sorry, dont have access to 1871 census, howveer, this is from the 1881 census, dont know if you already have this

I have a William Varney and Grace Sweeney dob unknown but with a daughter Susanna Varney dob 8 dec 1869 in Glasserton Wigtown
Collins/Geddes/Ferguson/Muir/McDade/McLean - Lanarkshire
Ferguson - Kilfinnichen and Kilvecheon (Iona, Mull)
Varney - Scotland
Alexander - Dumfrieshire, Wigtownshire

Yes I have those two also.  William's father was John Varney born in Buckinghamshire mother Mary Gilderoy/Kilderoy.  He married three times I believe.  My ancestor was your William's half brother.  please see my website (details on profile)

William and Grace were living in Sorbie wigtownshire scotland,

Yes thats the correct family, wow dont seem to be able to open the tribal pages just comes up blank
