This is a long shot but can you possibly find the marriage of Thomas Lawrinson (various spellings, sorry) born around 1796 Tarporley and Rebecca (surname unknown, sorry) born about 1791 possibly Tarporley.

Marriage year unknown, sorry .... unhelpful wild guess ... 1820 ish? They have a child in 1825 but there may be others before that date.

Hi Ruskie,

Sorry, no likely marriage showing in that time period on my indexes.
Don't go away, you had enough information for a try!  :)

Aw, thanks Jean. And thanks for looking. This family is sending me mad.

Added later:
I think I have located earlier children for this couple. Jean, do you mind me asking the dates you looked for this marriage? I think perhaps the marriage may have been earlier than 1820ish - maybe 1816 ish? Can I be a pest and ask if you could have another quick look? Thank you so much.

Hi Peter, Thanks very much for that, sorry it has taken me a while to get back to you, I broke my leg recently and it is still non weightbearing which is very frustrating as I can only really go up and down stairs once each way at the moment (on my backend, the computer is downstairs), anyway thanks again for your time and trouble.

Hello

Would you please be kind enough to look for the marriage of George Baker to Mary in Over sometime around 1785. I have the birth index records for 5 of their children, the first one I have is 1803 and the last 1815. All the children were christened in St Chads.

I am also looking for Thomas Ellison who married Rachael, their children were also christened in St Chads around the same time. This one may be a long shot as, according to the early census records Thomas was born in Birmingham and Rachael in Dorchester.

George and Thomas are my husband's gggggrandfathers.

Many thanks.

Hi Rubyrose

The Cheshire marriage index shows these two marriages that would seem to be the ones your after.

22/Feb/1801 St Chads Over George Baker/Mary Waters, Mary being of the parish of Neston.

27/Dec/1806 St Chad Over Thomas Ellison/Rachael Anderson

There is a baptism of a Mary Waters registered in Neston dated 18/July/1780 father James, mother Ann. This may or may not be "your"
Mary but looks a likeley candidate.
You can veiw most of the Wirral/Neston area parish registers index  online at http://www.csc.liv.ac.uk/~cprdb/

hope this helps

Hi Ruskie,

Sorry, I had missed this, I checked for any marriages between a Thomas Lawrinson and Rebecca and there were none on the indexes.
