Thank you Peter, I will have to check the records at Chester.  Unfortunately I have to wait until the 18th November because working full time I can only go on a Saturday.

Would the entry that you have tell me if they had witnesses at the wedding or where the groom came from?

Hi

Sorry but I only have indexes to the marriages, as you say the orginal registers at Chester will have the full entry.
If you can't get to the RO then I would recommend you email them at the address in this link http://www.cheshire.gov.uk/Recordoffice/aboutus/recoffcontact.tm
(stating the marriage details you have) and they will look up the marriage and confirm the full entry back by email, there should be no charge for this, but if you require a photocopy of the original then a small fee will be charged.

There is also the will search facility that I have found to be a big help with pieceing families together. It can done and wills purchaced online.

good luck

Hi Peter, thank you for that information, I will indeed chase up this lead.

I have also just had a ride to Audlem and got the Vicars name from in front of the Church so I will try this line of enquiry as well.

Just hope it's them.

Thank you
Dot

Hi,
I would appreciate a lookup of a marriage for Samuel Cadman.  The only thing I know about him is that he is the father of Mary Cadman born c1829 in Stockport (from Mary's marriage cert).

On the IGI, there is a christening entry for a Mary, giving her mothers name as Sarah.  Also there is a marriage entry in Alderley on the 29th May 1828 for Samuel Cadman to Sarah Cooper.  I have also found a Sarah Cadman aged 21 on the burial index for Stockport date 1 Jan 1832, so if this is the right Samuel, he would most likely have remarried at some point.

Basically any marriage details for a Samuel Cadman would be really appreciated for around these dates.  Thanks in advance.

Hi Peter,

I would much appreciate any information on the marriage of George Hadfield (Mottram) and Frances Heginbotham (Romiley) in the 1830s/early40s, and on their fathers Thomas Hadfield and Thomas Heginbotham.

Many thanks for any help.  :)

Hi Peter

Would it be possible for you to check your indexs for a marriage between James Bayley to Ann Hamnett.  I have their marriage bond which is dated 1747.

Thanks ~ Jayson

Hi Jayson

There does not seem to be an entry in any of the Cheshire indexes, sorry.
Where was the bond issued ?
