Nothing close on my index, however the West Kirby parish register is online at: http://www.csc.liv.ac.uk/~cprdb/ - I searched on Powel but couldn't see the marriage to Sarah Gill.

Thanks for your wonderful offer. Is there any sign of John Parker, (1775-1842), of Cheadle Cheshire? His son married into the Small family and I'm also looking for William Small (1811-1881) also Cheadle.
Also I would appreciate any details of Fidler or Lowe families. All Cheadle , Cheadle Hulme, Cheadle Mosely pre 1837.

Hi Chris
I am trying to find a marriage of a William WOOD from Brereton - died 1849, buried in the churchyard anyway.  He had sons Thomas, John and Joseph.  Joseph bn 1804 survived John died young but produced a daughter Jane, and 2 sons named Thomas's died young. I think he married a Mary, unfortunately my files have gone to my daughter who is producing a family tree for Peter WOOD - 60 next the only WOOD left as they have all had daughters.

The children were born in the 1790's.
There is nothing that fits on the IGI online

No obvious PARKER or SMALL marriages in the right timescale.

There are 30 FIDLER marriages at Cheadle St Mary on the index - can you be more specific about what you need?

There are a number of LOWE marriages but I suspect this one may be of interest if you don't already have it:

thanks for that. It was really John Parker and William Small I was hoping to find as my research stops with them at present.
I have not yet followed the Fidler/Lowe lot yet, so I do not have the parents of either of the following ladies.
Although these are possible dates for these marriages, I do not have any other details.
Betty (Elizabeth) Fidler (1813-1883)  married John Bailey (1803-1887) on 24th Sept 1827 at St Mary's Cheadle, ? her age is 14.  I have no knowledge of her parents and was looking for some clues.
Ann Lowe(1816-1888) married John Hooley (C1810-1890) on 15th October 1838 at St Mary's Cheadle. She may have been born in Staffordshire.

Hi Sandra,

Neither of the marriages you mention are on the index - but it is only an index so its very unlikely you would get further information from it.  The 1838 marriage is on the cheshirebmd index.

You could contact cheshire records office and ask for the details from the parish register - if Betty/Elizabeth was only 14 she must have been married by licence so the licence may give you more information - the register entry from 1827 wouldn't necessarily give you the parents names anyway.

I am looking for details on Samuel Parsonage & Mary ?? They had a Daughter daughter Martha Parsonage b abt 1799 Tarvin.

Also details on Ambrose Nield b 1785 Christleton & Martha Parsonage b 1799 Tarvin.    The eldest Child I have for them is 1821.

Any Info on a John Nield  I do not have a name for his wife. I have four children for him
                         Elizabeth b abt 1772
                              Jane   b abt 1776
                              John   b abt 1781
                         Ambrose  b abt 1785
They were all born in Christleton

Hello Noreen,

Looking at your 1841 lookup request and Carrie's answer, do you think that William WOOD's wife was therefore Jane?  I'm afraid I still can't find anything obvious on the indexes and have also checked for a Joseph and Elizabeth but again nothing stands out.

Did William's wife die before him, or is there any mention in the will?
