would you be able to help find George Partington abt 1811 married to Mary Brown abt 1813. I've been unsuccessful. They had their first child 1834.

Hello,

I am trying to find the marriage of William Dennett to Mary Helsby I think between 1820 and 1825. This would be in Ditton near Widnes and might well be in the parish of Prescot St. Mary. All a bit vague and this has been one of those "brick wall" situations.

Any help would be greatly appreciated,

Thanks,

Cholton

Hi Colton

Sorry but there is no marriage showing up in the Cheshire indexes, Widnes is Lancashire, you may have better luck finding their marriage on the Lancs board.

sorry

Hi

Definatly no marriage in THE Cheshire indexes for this couple, there is one, a member submitted entry in the IGI, just says 8 Dec 1833 Manchester. You may be better asking on the Lancs board if their first child was born in Lancashire ?

Hi,
could you please look up a marriage between Edward Ellis and Lydia, i dont know her surname. The marriage will probably have taken place some time between 1830 and 1838 in the Macclesfield/Prestbury area.
I would really be interested in learning Lydia's surname.
Many Thanks
Marie

Hi Peter,
this is a long shot, but could you possibly look up a marriage between a Solomon Beamer and an Isabella, i would say it took place sometime around 1795 - 1805. I cant give you any more info than that, but i can tell you that Solomon Beamer is a really rare name, ive only ever come accross 2 others, and they are both in this family.
Many Thanks
Marie

Hi

Sorry nothing in Cheshire for them.

I have been reading your other requests and note from the 1851 census that Soloman and family came to Cheshire with children, and all born out of the county, with his wife Isabella being born in Uttoxitor Staffordshire I would suggest that that would be where to look first. Failing that look in the area that their first child was born.

hope this helps

Hi Peter,
thanks for checking, i knew it was a long shot, im not that lucky. I just thought that Solomon's origonal place of origin might have been cheshire, ah well back to the drawing board.
