Hi Jean Sandra,
Not sure if this is coincidence or links in with your Daniel family in any way but going through Cheadle parish records at Stockport library, I came across a marriage entry for a John Daniel who married a Mary Eccles at St Mary's Parish Church, Cheadle, on 29th May 1836.
Regards,
Pat.

Hi Pat,

this is really interesting.
My Thomas Daniel married a Martha Eccles but I don't have a marriage place or date for them.

However in the 1851 census Thomas Daniel gave his place of birth as Cheadle.

At the date of John and Mary's marriage Thomas would have been about 30 and Martha about 24 so it is very possible that the four people were related in some way and possibly brother(s) and Sister(s). Do you know if there was any more information in the parish registers? I must go and have a look.

Many thanks for this as I only have record of them in the 1851 census in Poynton and can't find them elsewhere in census, birth, marriage or even burial registers. Only one of their children appears in a marriage register as far as I can gather and that's Elizabeth my 3 x great grandmother. Her siblings, Henry (born 1833/4), David (born 1847), and Lydia (born 1849/50) don't seem to be traceable at the moment either for a census after 1851, death or marriage.

This has given me some hope when I was fast losing it.
Thank you.
Regards
Jean Sandra

Hi Jean Sandra,
No, there was nothing more than that I'll print out the details you've sent and keep an eye out for them all when I'm next in the library. I don't get there as often as I would like, work keeps getting in the way but if I find anything I'll let you know.
I got a bit muddled with the St Mary's I should have said St Mary's Stockport, not St Mary's Cheadle, Sorry about that
Regards, Pat.

Hi,

would it be possible for someone to look up the baptism of a Martha Eccles born 1805-1815 in Poynton. She could have been baptised at St Peters Prestbury? I would love to know who her parents were.
If anyone could find her  marriage to Alexander Hood at St Marks Dukinfield in 1877 I would be very grateful.

Regards

Jean Sandra
