Hi. Does your Cd-Rom have marriages in Macclesfield parish churches, e.g. St George's Church, St. Paul's Church, St. James's Church of Prestbury etc? I am looking for the marriage of one Thomas Minshull and Thomas Warrington (during the early 1800s?

Hi Joyce
             Welcome to rootschat

You are probably as far back as records go for Washingtons in the Wirral area, there are a few from mid 1500's on this index, http://www.csc.liv.ac.uk/~cprdb/

good luck

Thank you! I have a feeling that the latter Warrington entry might be the father of the Warrington I was looking for, as the timing is just about right and the place is also right. Is there a later entry for a Thomas Warrington marriage, say 1820s?

I forgot to add, Thomas Warrington would have married a woman named Elizabeth. I found him living with one in 1861 and 1871 censuses.

Hi
It looks as if Thomas may have been married twice,I noticed in the census that he was a butcher. Married a bit young but worth a look could be a member of the same family

9/Dec/1811 Thomas Warrington butcher and Sarah Fillcock both living in Bosley.

The IGI has a baptism for Thomas 26/March/1797 at Gawsworth

mother Mary

There is a record of a possible marriage for John
