Hi Jean,
Thanks for taking the time to reply.
Just looked again at Sarahs M cert and it shows her father as JOHN COTTON. So if she'd married previous, she would have married a COTTON  :-\
Not impossible, as there was alot of them around, but unlikely really (although stranger things have happened!)
I agree the best way forward would be to try and find daughter Mary's baptism instead.
Thanks again
Sueky

Hi Allan,

There are a couple of marriages that might be of interest but none for a Daniel OAKES.

Ralph OAKES m Mary SMITH Feb 1756 at Sandbach
Ralph OAKS, husbandman m Mary TRELFA sp 2 Jan 1758 Over St Chad

They do seem a bit early for your Ralph though.  Checked OAKES, OAKES, OKES

Hi Rosanna,

I can't do blanket surname lookups, but have checked the individual ones.  I can't find a George WAKEFIELD marriage but can confirm that the marriage didn't take place at Frodsham as I have the indexes.

The closest I can find is:
Thomas YOUDE m Ellen PULFORD 4 Oct 1761 by licence at Farndon.

Sorry I can't be of more help,

Jean

Sorry Paul, I can't do blanket lookup requests.  If you can supply a specific name I'd be happy to have a look for you.

Thanks
