Hoping you can help me please.

Having, after several years of searching, just found the marriage of my 3 x great grandparents in Chester, I now know the surname of my ggg grandmother!

She was Elizabeth PARRY born Chester c.1788.

I am hoping to find her baptism record.  She was married to Wiliam CRANE at St. Mary on the Hill on 1811.  All the census records I have for her give a year of birth at 1788 + or - 1 year.

Any help gratefully appreciated

Hi

There are quite a few Elizabeth Parry baptisms indexed in the http://www.csc.liv.ac.uk/~cprdb/

The nearest date wise is this one BAPTISM 15/Feb/1786 at St John Chester, mother Frances father Francis (a baker) actual birthdate 11/Jan/1786.

Hope this helps a little

hi Chris any chance of you looking for a marriage of William bracegirdle and Elizabeth Vernon Davenham 18/3/1822 any info would be appreciated cheers Pete

Hi Pete

Only have the indexes which only give the same info as you have, it seems that William had an initial "E"

You can apply to the http://www.cheshire.gov.uk/Recordoffice/aboutus/recoffcontact.tm

For a copy of the register entry, this may or may not give you more information.

Hi Peter and Peter!

The Davenham parish records are now online at http://www.csc.liv.ac.uk/~cprdb/ which will give you a full transcription of the original entry.

Hi Chris,

I am looking for the marriage of Henry Kelsall. He married his second wife Mary between 1812 and 1815. The area I am looking for is probably Altrincham, although I am not certain. Henry was from Agden and was buried in the churchyard of Rostherne which would I think come under the district of Altrincham.

Sorry I am unable to give more details.

Hi Moureen

Sorry can't seem to find anything anywhere in Cheshire within or near that timeframe.

Looking at the 1841 census there is a Mary Kelsall (no Henry) living at Agden with several children born 1813 upwards. Are these yours ?

I seem to have got my Chris and Peter missed up - sorry about that Peter!

The 1841 details showing Mary Kelsall as a widow are the correct family but I don't have much information to work on. Jonathan Kelsall was the son of Mary and Henry but was not living with the family in 1841.

I know Henry was the father of Jonathan, but I don't know the maiden name of his mother Mary or where she was from so I'm clutching at straws here!

I wonder if you would be kind enough to check one more of the clan - John Kelsall who married Charlotte  around 1837. Both John and Charlotte were born in Sale and both buried at Timperley, so the parish of marriage is possibly Sale. I'm afraid that I do not know the maiden name of Charlotte.

Many thanks for your help so far. I do appreciate it.

Regards,

Maureen
