Would you have any details on Ashton under Lyne?  It's classed as Cheshire I've discovered.

The marriage of Charles Yeaman and Lucy Lowe on 24/5/1813, are there any details please?

and, is there a marriage for James Siddall to an Alice, around 1812-17 (their first child I can find christened is 1817)

I think both of these would be St Michaels, Ashton

Hi Tessa,

Ashton under Lyne isn't classed as Cheshire but the Ashton under Lyne registration districts (post 1837) cover parts of Cheshire so these have been covered by the Cheshire BMD project.  The data that we have access to is an index only so won't give any more information than you have already for the marriage of Charles Yeaman although I did check just in case.  I've also checked for the James Siddall marriage, but nothing there I'm afraid.

Do You have access to Mottram-in-Longdendale, St Michaels records ?
My gt grandmother Hannah Broadhurst married Sydney(Sidney) Greaves somewhere before 1836 when Elizabeth Greaves was born.  She is from Newton which I know at that time was in Mottram Parish.

     Yes the index does cover St Michaels but there is nothing there for them.
     But I did find this record which could be them,

5/April/1835 at St Mary Stockport Sid Greaves of Wernerth and Hann Broad

You don't say where Sidney was born but if there is any Wernerth connection then I would say the Broadhurst name may have been misheard and entered wrongly.

Yes they lived in Werneth - Sidney/Sydney came from Chadderton and Hannah Newton,  I have the birth certificate of their youngest child so I know the name is correct and I have all their Census details as well as Hannah's death certificate.

This is a bit of a long shot but I'm looking for a marriage between

William Darlington and Ann (e)

They had their first child Joseph in 1820 so i'd guess they married about 1818. Joesph was born in Chester.
