Hi Cando
Confused !! me!! alway's !! To be honest I was born confused so anything you throw at me won't make the slightest bit of difference.

There is a marriage of a William Peers cotton check maker of Levenshulme Manchester to a Sabra Heddington of the parish of Nantwich, marriage at Nantwich 12 June 1783.
Levenshulme being on the south side (Stockport side) of Manchester.
Still not sure where you get the name Ellen from ? are you saying the obituary could have said that Williams wife was Ellen or maybe Sabra ?
Like I said there are no William Peers marrying an Ellen in Stockport area.
hope this helps
